The monument is located beside the Williams-Tucker Baseball field in Jordan Park, on Larkin Street. Its sleek black granite form is 8 feet tall, and features etching of Mr. Williams, the Drew School building, and engraved biographical information of Mr. Williams’s contribution to the community.
“The monument stands to not only act as a reminder to a great man, but to also serve as an inspiration to future leaders to aspire to be like Mr. Williams,” reflects Mayor Zack Tucker on the preparations for the dedication event.
The monument was designed by the City Parks and Recreation Committee Monument Sub-committee chairs, Jo Ann Trotter & Cleo Thompson.
