The $649,00 project includes completely replacing the airport’s existing lighting system with a LED lighting system; and expected to last 30 to 60 days.
The state & federal grant funded project is part of the Airport Commission’s Master Plan to upgrade the airport’s facilities by 2025. The plan, which was implemented in 2000, has including expanding plane hangar space, construction of office space, fuel system upgrades and other general improvements.
Since the adoption of the master plan the airport has become a self sustainable city service through competitive fuel sales, hanger availability, advertising, and state & federal grants.
